Market research is the process of gathering as much information as possible about your customers and how they view your company and products. With enough information, you can determine the best marketing strategy for your business.


1.Determine the goal of your research. Do you need to improve customer service or increase sales?

2.Use trade journals, marketing magazines, government reports and chamber of commerce market profiles to determine the demographics of your market. These publications also provide data on purchasing trends that will clue you in on the buying habits of your target market.

3.Conduct mail and telephone surveys using randomly selected addresses and telephone numbers.

4.Collect information from existing customers. Use questionnaires, personal interviews and focus groups to get feedback on your products and services. If you have a Web site, start a chat room or message board and encourage customers to participate.

5.Observe customers at various points of contact in your business, including reception, sales, and customer service. Watch for glitches in your operation and how your employees interact with the customers.

Market Research helps to analyze the befalling in the Market place. An alignment would absorb a lot of money in adventure market research so they get the authentic abstracts and acceptable insights from their targeted customers.

Market Research helps in getting a clear picture about where your organisation stands in reality.... The owners of the organisation may have 1000 different views about the organisation and its products.... what matters is the third person view which the organisation has to know only through proper audience.......

Market research is the collection and analysis of information about consumers, competitors and the effectiveness of marketing programs or Market research systematic, objective collection and analysis of data about a particular target market, competition, and/or environment or we can say marketing research: research that gathers and analyzes information about the moving of good or services from producer to consumer.

- for devising viable business plans.
- To learn industry trends for the products/services

After market research, they save valuable time and money by not wasting money on futile efforts.
