Two tutorial sessions, along with four half-day workshops, form part of a one-day training day organised by users of SPSS and R software for fellow users.
Two morning R courses will comprise an introduction to R for complete beginners and introduce a range of statistical analyses in R. Two afternoon courses both in SPSS will gently introduce the analysis of time-to-event data using survival analysis and the handling of categoric data. The morning tutorial session will be teaching how to use the power of SPSS syntax to analyse health data whilst the afternoon session will cover commonly used applications of R including data entry, publication quality plotting, regression and repeated measures ANOVA building on the concepts introduced in the morning R courses. Each session will feature four tutorials. Delegates may choose to attend a single morning tutorial session or workshop and/or a single afternoon tutorial or workshop.
Come along to learn more about how to choose and implement statistical routines in both SPSS and R using example data, build up your knowledge of SPSS and R, learn how to interpret and understand the output, see software demonstrations, share experiences with other users and plan for future meetings.
