"The Role of Opinion Polling in the election process", is a topic that is growing in importance in the world, and in particular in the Middle East where many societies are witnessing a change in their traditional political structures.

To facilitate debate this subject, ESOMAR, the world association for market, social and opinion research, is bringing together an international panel of experts in political campaigning, opinion polling and media to discuss the role of opinion polling in the election process and its impact on citizens and society.

The event is organized under the patronage of the ex-Minister of Interior and Municipalities, who has created a legacy of improving voting conditions and the elections laws of Lebanon.

Also included on the panel is Kathleen Frankovic, former Director of Surveys at CBS News and former President at the World Association for Public Opinion Research and the American Association for Public Opinion Research. Ms. Frankovic has won many national awards for her work conducting and explaining public opinion for the news media.
